The Louisville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Louisville Constitution Committee have partnered to bring The Moving Wall™ to the Louisville community, hosted by Barley’s Event Center, 6461 Easton St., Louisville. This is the half-size replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, DC and will be on display September 7-10, 2018. Several events are being planned and as the plans are finalized, the Chamber will be publishing the details on this website, Facebook page, and in the Louisville Herald. We will start with the weekend with Cruisin to the Wall on Friday evening. Plans are underway for All American Day on Saturday, Sept. 8, Honoring Service Above Self on Sunday, Sept. 9, and Retiring the Colors on Monday, Sept. 10. The Chamber and the Constitution Committee are honored to be able to recognize our veterans and first responders as we head into Patriot Day, September 11, and Constitution Week.
An evening to recognize and remember the sacrifices made by those who gave all. Cruisers will assemble to honor the memories of those that served. The Made in America Store will be in the building along with a Kid’s Constitution Corner where children can enjoy activities and crafts. We will also have a Honoring our Veterans Wall where visitors may bring a picture of a family member to place on the wall of honor.
